Mahri

stylist & owner

Mahri became a Richmond transplant from Northern Virginia in 1997, but now very confidently calls Richmond "HOME". She can't remember a time in her life when she wasn't mesmerized by the world of Art. Art was instilled at a very young age watching her "Me-ma" (a watercolorist) create images she could see in her mind and then translate to a canvas. Hair is Mahri's canvas. She takes pride in confidently suggesting/creating ideas, and then collaborating with her guests to execute looks they will be able to easily maintain and style.

In 1998 Mahri met who would become her Mentor (a Master Stylist & TIGI Educator), Jason Clayton. It was through him that she realized being a Hair Stylist was more than just cutting hair. He made hair an art and forever changed her perception of the industry she has grown to love. Mahri went on to graduate with Honors from a Paul Mitchell in Pennsylvania where Owners Adam & Heather Sahagian instilled in her a passion for expanding her mind outside of the box that can be created in this industry. It was also in Pennsylvania that Mahri met her Color Mentors, Thomas Crisp and Kenn Williams, who encouraged her to utilize color in ways outside of "the norm".

Mahri returned home to Richmond in August 2011 and often cites her greatest professional compliment as being told by clients, "I've been told to just sit, and you will tell me what is best for me." Helping a guest feel more beautiful from the outside is what she does…making sure they feel more beautiful from the inside is her passion.

Advanced Education obtained via Paul Mitchell, Schwarzkopf, TIGI, UNITE, Aquage, & Deva Curl.
